Standards for the identification and marking of plastic products (II)

identification and marking of plastic products

1 Scope

this standard stipulates the identification and marking of products made of various plastic materials, such as general plastic, engineering plastic, reusable plastic, functional plastic, modified plastic, recycled plastic, reprocessed plastic and recycled plastic, as well as the design and management of signs; It stipulates the identifications and signs of reusable plastics, recyclable plastics, recycled plastics, functional plastics, modified plastics and non recyclable plastics, as well as the design and management of signs; It stipulates the identification, marking, design and management of plastic products for food packaging and medical plastic products. The provisions on the treatment method or process of identification are not within the scope of this standard. This standard replaces gb/t plastic packaging recycling marks

note: the precise description of the logo, such as the minimum size of the logo terms, the size of the text, and the appropriate location of the logo, shall be decided by the user and the manufacturer through consultation

the purpose of this standard is to specify the identification of all kinds of plastic products, promote the classified collection of all kinds of plastics, speed up the recycling progress, promote the correct use of recycled plastics, and help the treatment of plastic products, waste recycling or garbage disposal

the general identification of plastics in this standard has been given in parts 1 to 4 of gb/t 1844 (parts 1 to 4 of iso1043)

note: if more detailed information is needed to identify the material, the identification of plastic products can be specified in the appropriate product standard

this standard shall comply with the requirements of relevant laws on labels

3

gb/t 2035 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard

3.1 abbreviation of terms

terms are obtained by omitting some parts according to gb/t 15237.1 and gb/t 17532

3.2 plastic products

plastic material molded products or storage shapes with a certain purpose

3.3 functional plastics

a class of plastic materials with specific properties such as degradable, antibacterial, high barrier, corrosion resistance, aging resistance and so on

3.4 modified plastics

plastics with modified substances are added to improve the processing of plastics, the taste of beer and the non functional or physical properties of glass packaging

3.5 recycled plastic

it is a thermoplastic prepared by reprocessing leftover materials or unqualified molded products in the secondary processing plant after pre-processing such as factory molding and extrusion

note: in many specifications, recycled plastics are limited to clean plastics, which meet the requirements of new materials, and their product quality is actually equivalent to the products made by the continuous and systematic theoretical research and corresponding practical utilization of new materials

3.6 reprocessed plastics

thermoplastics prepared from waste industrial plastics by non original processors

note: reprocessed plastics can be mixed with or without fillers, plasticizers, stabilizers, colorants, etc

3.7 recycled plastics

plastics made from washed and crushed waste products

note: in a broad sense, recycled plastics refer to any reuse of leftover materials or waste products, including pyrolysis and recycling of useful original chemicals. Recycled plastics can be mixed with or without fillers, plasticizers, stabilizers, colorants, etc

3.8 reusable plastics

plastics whose products can be reused for many times after molding and whose properties meet the requirements of relevant regulations

3.9 recyclable plastics

after being discarded, it is allowed to be recycled and reprocessed after certain treatment

3.10 non recyclable plastic that makes the upper and lower jaws not concentric. It is a kind of plastic that is not allowed to be recycled and reprocessed after being discarded

3.11 plastic for food packaging

a kind of plastic used for food packaging

3.12 medical plastics

a kind of plastic used in medicine

4 symbols and abbreviations of terms

symbols and abbreviations of terms in this standard are in accordance with gb/t 1844.1, gb/t 1844.2, gb/t 1844.3 and ISO. For symbols or abbreviations of terms not included in gb/t 1844.1, gb/t 1844.2, gb/t 1844.3 and ISO, symbols or abbreviations specified in other effective national or international standards should be applied as far as possible

5 composition of the marking system of plastic products

the marking system of plastic products consists of four parts: identification or/and plastic number coding or/and graphic symbols or/and/and functional description or/and supplementary description
